Yes I recently found it, but I don't seem to be able to get to the function to navigate the music, wonder isit my software or sth

No bro, the 3.5mm jack is just a audio cable, it will not have function to transmit instructions to your phone via your console and vice verse.

But i am sure you can still play your music through your phone, just that your selections have to be done on the phone itself.
